Summary

The extension processes only the information needed to create the export or clipboard content you explicitly request. It does not use a developer-operated processing server, sell data, or transmit your exports to us or to third parties.

Information processed

While you use the extension on a YouTube watch page, it may read the video or Short URL, title, channel name, publication date, available caption tracks, caption text, and comments and replies that YouTube makes available to the open page. In Chrome local extension storage, it saves your selected comment limit, Include replies setting, Include timestamps setting, and the selected formats for Captions, Comments, and Everything.

How information is used

This information is used only to prepare the TXT, SRT, CSV, JSON, or ZIP export, or the clipboard content, that you request. The extension contacts YouTube as needed to read content from the video or Short currently open in your browser.

Sharing and retention

We do not receive, retain, sell, or share your transcripts, comments, exports, or usage data. Downloaded files are saved by your browser according to your browser settings. Clipboard contents are handled by your operating system and browser.

Your choices

You can remove the extension at any time. Removing it deletes the extension’s saved local settings from Chrome extension storage. It does not automatically delete files you already downloaded or clipboard contents; you can manage those through your usual browser or operating-system controls.
